What happened in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir
A terrorist attack occurred in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack reportedly caused the death of a labourer from Chhattisgarh and left one other person injured.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha said he spoke with the Director General of Police (DG Police) and security officials after the Kulgam attack. Manoj Sinha condemned the attack and directed security forces to step up operations to eliminate terrorists.
Political reactions
Political parties condemned the Kulgam attack, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), J&K Apni Party, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said the victims worked hard far from home to feed their families.
