What happened
The Ministry of Home Affairs has launched CAPF Punarvaas by linking the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 website with the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board (WARB) website. The stated purpose is to make data of retired and willing Ex-CAPF/AR personnel available to private security agencies for re-employment.
Background and earlier position
The Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles produce trained personnel with field experience in security, discipline, and guard duties. The WARB platform already serves as a welfare and rehabilitation channel for retired personnel, while the PSARA framework regulates private security agencies under law.
Before the portal linkage was created, retired personnel and private security agencies did not have a single integrated channel described in the release for matching available manpower with demand. The new linkage is intended to improve that interface.
