MoHUA connected the coordination discussions to the UCF Operational Guidelines and to the central assistance amount earmarked under UCF.
What happened
MoHUA reported that a strategic meeting in New Delhi was held on April 25, 2026 between the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Ministers-in-charge of Urban Development Departments of States and Union Territories. The meeting discussed assisting States and Union Territories to effectively utilise the central assistance earmarked under UCF.

MoHUA stated that after the launch of the Operational Guidelines of UCF, the Union Government remained engaged with States and Union Territories. The April 25, 2026 ministerial meeting was presented as part of this post-guidelines engagement.
