What happened: Revamped RGSA training, fund releases, and GPDP upload tracking
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj stated that RGSA (Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan) is implemented as a centrally sponsored scheme in States and Union Territories since 2022-23, and the scheme’s revamped design tracks both capacity-building and Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) preparation for local governance.
Under the revamped RGSA, the PIB communication covered three linked areas:
1) Training participants under revamped RGSA (last three years)
The PIB states that the number of participants trained under the scheme for the last three years is provided state/Union Territory (UT)-wise in Annexure-I. Trained participants include both elected representatives and Panchayat functionaries.
2) State-wise fund releases (Odisha and Himachal Pradesh) for last three years
