What happened: RGSA revamp launched for Panchayat capacity building
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is implementing a Centrally Sponsored Scheme called Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) with effect from financial year 2022-23. The scheme’s objective is to support Panchayati Raj institutions by providing training to elected representatives and other stakeholders so that Gram Panchayats can function effectively across all States/Union Territories (UTs).
