What happened
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, in a Lok Sabha reply by Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt. Savitri Thakur, outlined how Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 supports and monitors Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across States and UTs. The Ministry stated that data on the state-wise number of Anganwadi Centres and AWC infrastructure details are available through the Poshan Tracker portal (https://www.poshantracker.in/statistics).
The Ministry also stated that infrastructure planning and follow-up with States/UTs is done through sustained engagements and video conferences to support uninterrupted delivery of services to beneficiaries. For strengthening basic infrastructure at AWCs, the Ministry announced per-AWC funding provisions shared with States/UTs: Rs.17,000 for providing drinking water facilities and Rs.36,000 for construction of toilets.
