What happened in Kolkata (meeting focus and participants)
Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Annpurna Devi chaired a review meeting in Kolkata on Women and Child Development schemes being implemented in West Bengal.
Senior officers from the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and officers from the Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Department and the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of West Bengal were present.
The meeting was attended by Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt. Savitri Thakur; Smt. Malati Rava Roy, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Government of West Bengal; and Shri Anil Malik, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.

Smt. Annpurna Devi emphasised a governance chain: review should translate into action, action should lead to outcomes, and outcomes should result in transformation.
