What happened: AYUSH-based medical and wellness tourism promotion
The Ministry of AYUSH adopted a Government strategy to promote AYUSH-based medical and wellness tourism in India in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and other Ministries. The strategy includes a National Strategy and Roadmap for Medical and Wellness Tourism, an AYUSH visa category for international visitors seeking AYUSH-based treatments, and zonal Medical Value Travel (MVT) summits with participation by named States and Union Territories.
