What happened (MSDE’s SIM delivery and reported outputs)
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) supports the Government of India’s Skill India Mission (SIM) through multiple skill training schemes delivered through a national network of skill development centres under Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). MSDE stated that these schemes provide skill, re-skill and up-skill training to youth and other eligible groups across the country, including the state of Kerala.
MSDE listed the following key SIM schemes and their training focus:
1) Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
PMKVY supports skill development training through Short-Term Training (STT) and up-skilling and re-skilling through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
2) Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) Scheme
