What happened (CEA approval of four multi-tracking rail projects)
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CEA), chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved four multi-tracking rail projects proposed by the Ministry of Railways. The combined estimated cost is approximately Rs. 9,450 crore. The CEA approval covers four rail sections across West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, adding multiple tracks to increase line capacity.
