The National Investigation Agency filed a chargesheet against eight accused in the Ambala car blast case. The case concerns a January car bomb blast in the parking area of Baldev Nagar Police Station in Haryana’s Ambala.
The agency alleges that Shehzad Bhatti, described in the release as a Pakistani gangster-turned-terrorist, orchestrated the conspiracy to attack the police station and spread terror. The other seven accused are Indian nationals.
UPSC may use the case to ask how Indian agencies investigate cross-border terror networks, local logistics chains, and attacks on police infrastructure. The case also fits questions on the National Investigation Agency’s role, evidence collection, and the challenge of dismantling hybrid criminal-terror modules.
